How to play Minesweeper
Clear a classic minefield with safe first openings, flags and explained logical hints. Three sizes, saved progress and a daily board.
- Choose 9×9 with 10 mines, 16×16 with 40, or 30×16 with 99. Your first opening and its eight neighbors are safe. A number counts mines in surrounding cells; zeros expand automatically.
- Open every safe cell to win. A mine ends the game. Right-click, long-press or use Flag mode to mark a cell. Flags can be wrong and do not prove a mine.
- Click an open number whose neighboring flag count equals it to open the other neighbors. Incorrect flags can cause a loss. Hints derive safe cells or mines from visible numbers only; some boards still require guessing.
- Use arrows to focus, Enter to open and F to flag. Undo and hints mark an assisted result. The daily 9×9 board opens its center automatically and is identical across languages.
Daily deals use the UTC date and mode, identically in every language.
